Food Policy Advisory Board

Purpose:

The Food Policy Advisory Board was established to advise City Council and the El Paso County Commissioners on matters of policies, programs, operations, and land use rights affecting local food issues.

Meetings:

Meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 8:30 am at the City of Colorado Springs’ Sustainacenter, 704 E. Boulder Street.

Members and Length of Terms:

The board will consist of seven regular members representing a cross-section of the community, who are El Paso County residents, having knowledge and experience in the local food sectors, production, processing and manufacturing, distribution, health education and market development, food recovery, and food security. Board members shall be appointed for up to two (2) consecutive, three (3) year terms.
