Facilities Corporation

Purpose:

The El Paso County Facilities Corporation, a Colorado Nonprofit Corporation, was established in 1995 to purchase, lease or otherwise acquire real estate and personal property (facilities) within the boundaries of El Paso County for the use and benefit of the county utilizing the certificates of participation (COPs) funding instrument.

Meetings:

Corporation meetings are held annually and/or on an as-needed basis throughout the year at a designated time and location determined by the members and in accordance with applicable laws.

Members and Length of Terms:

The El Paso County Facilities Corporation consists of three regular members appointed by the Board of County Commissioners for five-year terms. Members may serve an unlimited number of terms and shall be automatically renewed without further action of the Board of County Commissioners.
