Starting October 21, El Paso County crews will perform maintenance work on Old Stage Road, west of Hill Drive, beginning at the end of the paved surface on Old Stage Road and proceeding Southwest for approximately five miles to the Old Stage Riding Stables. The project will involve grading and spot gravel treatment. Weather permitting, the project is expected to be completed within two weeks of the start date.
Old Stage Road will be closed intermittently between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and could cause delays of 45 minutes or more. Detours will not be available. Please plan accordingly.
Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds and to watch for workers, equipment, signs and barricades. El Paso County wishes to thank drivers in advance for their cooperation. Intermittent road closures will accelerate the safe and efficient completion of this project. Funding for the project is provided by El Paso County.
