Widefield Water and Sanitation District Citizens’ Advisory Council
Purpose:
The Citizen Advisory Council is a component of the District for customer representation for citizens with the District’s boundaries and provides a point of contact for the public.
Meetings:
Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of odd number months at 7:00 pm in the Board Room of the District Administration Office located at 8495 Fontaine Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80925. The CAC votes on financial matters such as bond funding.
Members and Length of Terms:
The Advisory Committee, in the discretion of the County Commissioners, may consist of a maximum of five members who are owners of property actually receiving services from the District facilities, and may include representatives from Widefield (2 members), Peaceful Valley (1 member), territory served within the Security Water District (1 member) and one additional member. The purpose of the Advisory Committee is to provide a mechanism by which the interests of users of the District’s facilities may be communicated to and considered by the Board of Directors of the District.
