City / County Pikes Peak Library District Board

Purpose:

The Pikes Peak Library District Board of Trustees acts as the governing body of the library. Its responsibilities include, but are not limited to, setting policy, which is responsive and appropriate for the operation of the library district, hiring the director, evaluating the director, and approving the annual budget.

Members and Length of Terms:

The Library is governed by the Pikes Peak Library District Board of Trustees, consisting of seven members, appointed for five-year terms, who are appointed by a committee of members from the Colorado Springs City Council and the El Paso County Board of County Commissioners.Terms are limited to two full consecutive terms.
